Last night I went to the knitting guild and had a great time. We sat at tables instead of in a horseshoe and it lead to much livelier conversation. Everyone showed the current projects they were working on, and I do believe that I was the only person making a spring, cotton sweater. I started a sleeveless turtleneck sweater out of Debbie Bliss Pure Cotton last week and am already looking forward to wearing it with a summer skirt.
This morning after shoveling snow and throwing my kids outside I came into the shop and started rearranging. I have some beautiful spring yarns I got a couple of weeks ago but had not put out yet. The models will be arriving sometime in March, so I thought I would wait until then to display the yarn. I have now completely changed my mind and am ignoring this weather and am thinking Spring, I may even try to finish my sweater this week and wear it around the shop!
I do not want to say anything bad about wool, I love wool (I actually own a store full of wool). But on a day like today when it seems winter will never end, I am putting aside the 22 projects I have started out of wool and working on my spring sweater.

*Especially* when snow is coming down in big clumps instead of just flakes, it’s delicious to think about Spring!
